In September 1999, the Belfast Community Circus became the first arts provision organisation to move into Belfast's Cathedral Quarter - an area designated as an arts and cultural development.
The move was made possible thanks to a grant from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland Lotteries and thanks to the generosity and belief of the Laganside Development Corporation.
Beyond our wildest dreams, the Belfast Community Circus now has a purpose built training and performance facility in the heart of Belfast, just one bus ride from any part of the city - the ultimate in accessibility. It is, however, a little bit tucked away and so you might need to study the map before you set off. In case you get lost, just look for the Corn Exchange building or the Harp Bar - they are at either end of Gordon Street and we are next door to Oh Yeah Music Centre.
Our building is very bright and distinctive so it is hard to miss us! The colourful exterior features artwork by Diana Ennis painted to celebrate 20 years of Belfast Community Circus School and by Kev Largey painted to mark 10 years of Festival of Fools.
